The students visit and collect rare plants from CCRH research unit, Ooty and also from other botanical gardens for herbarium.

The purpose of MD (Homoeopathy) - Materia Medica course is to train the basic homoeopathic graduate in the field of Materia Medica to adapt the principles of homoeopathy while treating the patients, and to produce excellent professionals, teachers and researchers in homoeopathy.
Department has a well furnished Department room, HOD room, PG Discussion room and PG Seminar Hall with audio visual aids like overhead projector (OHP), LCD projector and computer.
During clinical teaching emphasis is given on remedy selection and the management of patients. The curriculum includes clinical meeting, journal club, seminars and discussions. Every Post Graduate student has to present cases treated by them. During clinical meeting Post Graduate from all the departments with professors discuss in detail about the case. All subjects are taught by eminent Professors from the Homoeopathic and Allopathic Medical college faculty. Topics are covered in allopathic as well as homoeopathic perspectives. Topics are divided systematically for Part I & Part II course separately. special care is given towards the diagnostic skills of the candidates. Students are made to present cases and various topics in the form of clinical meetings, seminars and journal club presentation to improve teaching skills and clinical skills.
